Does this happen to you? What do you do about it? I feel bad throwing out clothes I've only worn once or so but I live in NYC! Space is hot commodity and I need it for the running clothes I actually do like to wear.
My running skirts are also being retired for the summer. To be honest, they're not as comfortable as I once thought. Why put on those extra layers in the summer? It's too hot for all that. Even the skirts with the shorts underneath, I still have to wear another pair because my legs are so long. So, no. I did, however, keep my sparkle skirts extremely accessible. You never know when you'll need to sparkle ;)
Just as I was about to click "publish" to this post, I got my order from Bskinz of the most awesomest of awesome pairs of running shorts. What?! I know. Don't be jelly of my pantelones.
I'm super stoked. I haven't tested them, but from putting them on, I can tell they're going to be long enough not to crawl up.
I smell a new trend for summer running!
What do you like to run in? Shorts? Capris? Skirts? Awesome spandex?
I run in spandex & the higher the temperature on the thermometer the shorter the spandex. Donate your old running stuff to Goodwill or Salvation Army, they must have those in the city. Seriously I see it all the time in the thrift stores & have even been known to purchase gently used workout attire myself. And if you itemize your taxes get a receipt for a tax deduction if not then just feel good about donating!
ReplyDeleteI can't go with short spandex, bc my legs will get chafed. Boo. And (before I found this company) all the cute spandex is too short for me.
DeleteNo worries, there is a huge box all ready to go to Goodwill. I seriously need to be better about buying running clothes that fit.
I used to be a hardcore tights or capris kind of runner with a few skirts mixed in. This summer I've been wearing lulu shorts and they are awesome. My lulu running skirt is also a big hit. This reminds me, I really need to clean out my sports drawers too...
ReplyDeleteI would love to run in shorts, but it's hard to with my legs being so long. These are perfect!
DeleteI've been running in skirts, awesome spandex shorts and capris lately. I just bought a new Team Sparkle skirt for Tower of Terror, too!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of taking some race shirts that I don't wear and retiring them to a box somewhere else so I can actually fit my clothes in my drawers. I have waaaaayyy too many. Like no - I won't say how many drawers. I can't even admit it to myself. Addiction.
I just bought sparkle skirts for ToT, too!! YaY!!
DeleteI did just that! I took some of the race shirts that I don't wear and put them in storage. Threw a bunch out. I don't have that "but what if I'll like wearing it again?" with running clothes; if I didn't like it the 1st run, I never will. So, that made it easier.
