Substitute soccer/flag football/ ultimate frisbee with a cardio class at my gym and you have one of my secret weapons. It usually does the trick and most of the time I'll even squeeze in a couple of miles after. Hence, last night!
What alternate secret weapons do you use to get yourself out there?
I bought a bike when I developed plantar fasciitis, best investment ever. Now on days when it's 96 degrees out and 1,000% humidity and I just want to stay in the air conditioning I tell myself just do 20 minutes on the bike. So far I've never gone less then 20 miles because once I'm out there I'm pretty much compelled to keep going.

DeleteI am sooooo lazy! Have entire jogging outfit on including hair up and can't get off the couch! I need to find some motivation after a killer work day. Any suggestions?

DeleteI need to work in some cardio classes.. I have a really hard time forcing myself out there in the summer since running past 8 or 9 in the morning is nearly impossible here. One of my tricks is going to the gym directly after work. If I go home first, chances are I'm not leaving again.
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely! My gym is right by my work for that exact reason. Going home is too tempting to stay on the couch. Cardio classes are starting to be my new favorite alternatives, too!
