Love this. It's true for horse showing, as well. It's also a good reminder to soak in the experience of the actual event, because the race itself is only a small portion of the entire process. :)
So true, whether it's a championship, or just a personal accomplishment it never "just" happens. It's through hard work and dedication leading up to it.
